Overview

Introduction

This workshop will expand upon the role of imagination in psychosynthesis psychotherapy — moving beyond a narrow focus on scripted visualisations to present a broader, image-based approach to therapy and everyday life.

Rather than viewing images as purely subjective/personal mental pictures, separate from a purely objective reality, this workshop demonstrates how the act of imagination connects self and world, creating opportunities to understand and work with personal issues within the surrounding context of world issues.

Healing and transformation will be presented not, as is often assumed, as the replacement of fantasy with reality but rather as the cultivation of imaginative life itself—through the activity of images within everyday life, work and relationships.

The workshop will include a mix of presentations, discussions, live demonstrations of practical skills and short practicum opportunities.
