Overview
Introduction
This workshop will expand upon the importance of imagination in psychosynthesis psychotherapy, going beyond a narrow focus upon scripted visualisations, presenting a broad image-based approach to therapy and everyday life.
Instead of assuming images to be only subjective-personal mental pictures, separated from a purely objective reality, the act of imagination will be shown to connect self and world – creating the opportunity to understand and work with personal issues within the surrounding context of world issues.
Healing and transformation will be presented not, as is often assumed, by the replacement of fantasy with reality, but rather with the cultivation of imaginative life itself – in the activity of images within normal everyday life, work and relationships.
The workshop will be a mix of slideshow presentation, discussions, live demonstrations of the practical skills and short practicum opportunities.
