Menopause and Mental Health in Psychotherapeutic Practice
Online Learning Programme
Women may enter therapy with psychological presentations where the influence of perimenopause/menopause remains unexplored.
This evidence-informed CPD programme provides a menopause-informed framework for recognising, understanding and responding to these presentations, connecting hormonal physiology, nervous-system regulation, lifestyle factors and the lived psychological experience of midlife with psychotherapeutic assessment, formulation and intervention.

Introduction
The programme explores four interconnected areas:

• Hormonal physiology and mental health – understanding hormonal change and its neurological and psychological impact.
• Recognising clinical presentations – psychological changes, symptom patterns and menopause-informed screening.
• Therapeutic response and personal agency – psychoeducation, nervous-system regulation, lifestyle-informed support, self-value, boundaries, confidence, identity and relational change.
Who Should Apply
The programme is designed for mental health practitioners and professionals working across related health and educational settings where an understanding of menopause and psychological wellbeing is relevant to practice.
